General Information about the Embassy
Vision: Contribute to the good image of Rwanda and to her social,political and economic integration in the region.

Mission: Elaborate strategies and initiate activities coherent with Rwanda foreign policy to achieve the global vision

Mandate: Promote good relationship with Burundi,
Promote political, economic and social cooperation with Burundi,
Promote security and peace between the two countries.

Consular Services

Visa issuing
Applying for a Rwandan visa:

* have a valid passport
* provide 02 passport photos
* fill the application form

It takes 48hrs at maximum to get a Rwandan visa

A Rwandan visa is 60 USD

Passport issues To obtain a Rwandan passport one has to provide:

Application letter to the D.G of Immigration & Emigration
Application form filled in capital letters
A copy of a resident permit or a copy of a consular card from the Embassy of Rwanda in Burundi
01 passport photo with a white background
Payment Bank slip of 100,000 Burundian Francs

A Rwandan passport is 100,000Burundian Francs

It takes 3-4 weeks to be issued with a passport

Other Administrative Certificates
Other services offered by Embassy:

* Different certificate, eg, birth certificate, death certificate, identity Certificate..., at 1500 BIF.
* Notary services at 1500 BIF
* Consular cards at 500 BIF
* Laissez-passer at 3000 BIF
* CEPGL passes at 9000 BIF

Maximum of duration for each of all these services is 24hrs

* Civil weddings at:5,000 BIF

* At least one of the two should be living in Burundi.
* Provide: consular card, birth, identity and bachelorhood certificates.
