Akagera Game Lodge lies in the North East of Rwanda within the 90 000 ha Akagera National Park . Its location is in the eastern province.

Akagera Game Lodge sits majestically on a ridge overlooking Lake Ihema amidst a mosaic of grass, bush and varied terrain of hills, deep valleys, lakes and marches.

Recognised as a superior venue, Akagera Game Lodge offers a superbly relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a successful conference, a tranquil gateway or an undisturbed encounter with nature.

A very special place on earth, with its sheer diversity. No other region can match the resources of the Akagera National Park .

Accomodation:

The lodge offers premier accommodation in en-suite studios and Executive suite, each with its own patio overlooking Lake Ihema, allowing one to witness a magnificent sunrise or sunset in true African style . Decorated with a charming African flair, each studio contains two beds writing desk, chair and satellite TV.

Restaurant and Bar:

The shoebill Restaurant

The shoebill Restaurant with its charming atmosphere serves an exquisite cuisine in the form of � la carte menu or Buffer meals for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

The variety of spices and ingredients from distant shores has been a source of inspiration to our Executive Chef. An expert in the art of starters, like Akagera salad and Mushroom Akagera style, prepares local products in a masterly fashion and has created an array of tempting delicacies in our restaurant.

Our restaurant is open for:
Breakfast: from 6:00 to 10:00
Lunch: from 12:00 to 15:00
Dinner: from 19:00 to 22:00

The elephant Bar

The elephant Bar , adjacent to the shoebill Restaurant, provides guests with a retreat from the heat by day. A comfortable haven for quiet moments by night, with magnificent views of the African starlit sky.

The terrace, overlooking the swimming pool and lake, offers a light � la carte menu between meals or a long cool drink while the midday sun beats down on the African savannah terrain.

Emerging from this shoebill restaurant, we then head towards, the 'elephant Bar and lounge' which overlooks the pool and the lakes, to enjoy our unique cocktails that fits to your mood, (local) beer and other different drinks like spirit, wines, whiskies needed while a light melody of jazz, blues or local music carries you away.
